You can create a new page easily without having to wade through all the help pages as follows:

Register and log in.

Click "Create content" in the left column menu.

Choose "Page" to create a simple informative page or "Story" for a page that accepts comments. Other page types are available and work similarly.

Enter your Title, Keywords, and Body content in the fields provided.

Click "Book outline" near the bottom of the entry form and choose a "Book" from the drop-down menu in which you want your post to appear (for the right column menu), then the "Parent Item" from a second drop-down menu if appropriate.

You can leave the "Weight" 0 or select a number. The bigger (heavier) the number the lower down in the Book list your page link will sink. You may have to do some trial and error here to get it just where you want it.

Click "Save" and you're done. As the author you can come back any time and edit or delete your page or change its Book menu (aka Outline) position.
